Alchemical Botany

Alchemical Botany is a tiny garden and workshop run by a couple in our 30s in Rural Southern Georgia. We grow, gather, and make everything in small batches, letting the seasons and the land set the pace, and our botanicals are sustainably harvested from plants fed by our own chickens and cared for with as little intervention as possible. Every bundle and cutting is handled by hand, with an eye toward both their practical uses and their quiet, everyday magic.

In the workshop, we turn reclaimed steel into tools and give vintage beads a second life as jewelry, often salvaged from old purses and clothing so each piece carries a bit of history as well as our own touch. Living with rheumatoid arthritis shapes how we work—slower, more intentional, and deeply appreciative of what our hands can still create—and paired with a master’s-level background in horticulture, our shop is where lived experience and plant knowledge meet to become something useful, beautiful, and a little bit alchemical.
